After fleeing the United States in paranoia, Jim Jones brought his followers to this remote Jungle location In Guyana under the premise of utopian sanctuary. It was really a brainwashing prison camp. When Congressman Leo Ryan visited to find out what was really going on he was assassinated and Jim Jones forced his people to drink the poisoned purple koolaid killing 918 people.
